These are flag display days.and the country urges you to display the American Flag on those days. As a not so subtle reminder, you don't have to fly the flag on these or any day. There are no Flag Police who will fine, arrect, jail, beat the shit out of you for not flying the flag. That's freedom in action.

- Lincoln’s Birthday Feb 12
- Washington’s (President s’ Day) 3rd Monday in Feb
- Easter Variable
- Mother’s Day 2nd Sunday in May
- Peace Officer’s Memorial Day (half staff) May 15
- Armed Forces Day 3rd Saturday in May
- Memorial Day (half staff till noon) last Monday in May
- Flay Day June 14
- Independence Day July 4
- Labor Day 1st Monday in Sept
- Patriot Day (half Staff) Sept 11
- POW/MIA Recognition Day 3rd Friday in September
- Constitutional/Citizen Day Sept 17
- Columbus Day 2nd Monday in Oct
- Navy Day Oct 27
- Veterans Day Nov 11
- Thanksgiving Day 4th Thursday in Nov
- National Pearl Harbor Remembrance (half-staff) Day Dec 7
- Christmas Day Dec 25
And any other day proclaimed by
the President of the United States, birthday of states and state holidays.
Flying the flag isn’t
difficult. I wouldn’t worry about all
the rules, just show it respect and bring it in from the rain and darkness and
you’ve accomplished much.
