The Editorial Knife

I don’t like hoisting my political opinions on the public.  It puts me on the same footing as talking heads in both the liberal and conservative media.  It’s not good company.

Our opinions are shaped by our beliefs, ethical considerations, fears, concerns and information we gather.  The vast majority of information disseminated today is biased.  I don’t know why that is.  It may be part of the human condition.

It’s not possible for each of us to personally explore and research the actions and results that contribute to a news item of interest.  We must depend on these voices to form our opinions.  From Jessica Valenti to Rush Limbaugh you will find a spectrum of opinion and bias matching your beliefs.  I’m not interested in adding to that spectrum.  However…

There are those issues that are so important to me and I think, most Americans, that a discussion of is required.  I will at times see some aspect that discussion which has not been sufficiently chewed on.  When these topics are of immense importance to me, I will insert my voice into it and I will use my blog as a platform.

I will title these as an editorial and you of course are free to agree, object, comment or ignore.
